All magnitudes are quoted in the natural system of the initial survey: AB for the optical SDSS bands and Vega for the NIR UKIDSS bands. Note that the transmission profile of the $\mbox{$z$ }_{\rm {NTT}}$ filter differs somewhat from that of the SDSS z filter (see Sect. 3.2).
