Projected density of the volume-limited sample of ~104 galaxies (z < 0.03) along b = l = 0 in Galactic coordinates. The contour encompass 95% and 50% of the sample. The lack for sources around y = 0 is due to the disk of the Milky Way. One clearly sees that the radio galaxies in our volume-limited sample (blue circled crosses) reside in regions of high galaxy density.
