Radial velocity (RV) variability of the observed stars vs. V magnitude. The bulk of the stars show a flat behavior. This is likely a combination of larger intrinsic variability for the more luminous stars and larger measurement uncertainty for the faintest ones. The excess of variability seems real, and may indicate that more stars have low mass companions.
