Examples of E ∗ F(E) spectral diagram of ESO 243–49 HLX–1 during the hard, intermediate and soft state events. The best-fit Swift spectra (top panel) using the BMC model, along with Δχ (bottom panel) for the hard (band-B) state ( for 178 d.o.f.), for the intermediate (band-E) state ( for 248 d.o.f.) and for the soft (band-G) state ( for 317 d.o.f.). The best-fit model parameters are Γ = 1.76 ± 0.09, T_s = 61 ± 8 eV (for the low hard state), Γ = 2.8 ± 0.1, T_s = 142 ± 10 eV (for the intermediate state, and Γ = 3.0 ± 0.1, T_s = 130 ± 10 eV (for the high soft state, see more details in Table 2).
