Planet cross-correlation peak as a function of BT-Settl models with varying Teff and log (g). The cross-correlation peak steeply decreases for temperatures below ~1600 K because the strength of the water absorption features at >2.1 μm become significantly weaker. All molecular bands diminish above temperatures of ~ 2000 K, causing a slow decrease of the cross-correlation function at higher temperatures. The black circle corresponds to the values reported by Chilcote et al. (2017).
