Notes. The value is the average column density and M the mass in solar unit. The adopted isotopic ratio 12CO/13CO for each region is indicated in the fourth column. In the mass column, we indicate in parenthesis the “cold mass” estimated by considering only the upper levels J = 1, 2. The value is the average excitation temperature. The quality of the linear fits is indicated by the average value of χ2. The value is the average excitation temperature of the warm component, obtained by considering the levels J = 2, 3 separately from the level J = 1. For comparison, we indicate the estimate of the mass obtained using the CO-to-H2 conversion factor XCO = 2 × 1020 cm−2 (K km s−1)−1 applied to the raw J = 1–0 data (without optical depth correction).
