Expected counts of WL galaxies in arcmin−2 (see text; we note that the local impact of foreground galaxies is not considered here) in ecliptic coordinates with the Galactic plane removed (black). The decrease in the number counts is evident going towards the ecliptic plane, where the zodiacal background is higher. See also Scaramella et al. (2015).
