X-ray luminosity, L, over diameter for confirmed mature type Ia SNRs in the LMC, assuming a typical LMC distance of 50 kpc. If the shocked shell can be separated from the ejecta, only the luminosity of the shell is shown. In case the emission of the ejecta could not be separated, the luminosities are shown as upper limits. Theoretical lines for the Sedov model for different ambient densities, n0, are shown as well. We also plot the data for larger distances (60, 70, and 80 kpc).
