Wall-clock time (TCPU) consumption for carrying out star cluster simulations with different numbers of stars (Ns) and different numbers of MLPs (Np). Each calculation was carried out for ten N-body units. Simulations were performed for Ns = 64 000 (blue curve) and Ns = 128 000 (orange curve) and with an initial MLP-to-star ratio (Np/Ns) ranging from zero to unity (blue dots).
