Dust-to-gas density ratio ρd/ρg as a function of radius r and height z in our two-dimensional simulation of the vertical shear instability with 3 mm-sized dust. The dust layer is similar in thickness, both with respect to mid-plane of the disk and to the mid-plane of the layer itself, to the layer of millimetre-sized dust in the model by F20 (see their Fig. D1).
