A comparison of profiles of cosmic ray pressure (Pcr; lower panel) and ratio of nonthermal to thermal pressures (β−1; upper panel) between a number of TNG-CR variations runs for M⋆ ∼ 1010.5 M⊙ galaxies. Contrasting the black versus teal curves shows that varying κeff at fixed vst, eff has a minimal impact on Pcr profiles, albeit for marginal differences toward the very central regions of the halo. Profiles of β−1 are rather similar in the inner halo (≲ 0.2 R200c), and separate out by ∼ 0.15 dex at larger distances. On the other hand, in both Pcr and β−1 profiles, varying vst, eff at fixed κeff has an impact at all distances, although to different degrees in the two panels based on the value of vst, eff employed.
