Ratio between the scattered (into the line of sight) and direct fluxes as a function of the wavelength λ for face-on observations of a simulated point source, immersed in a galactic dust cloud. Simulated observations for a variety of aperture radii are shown. The cloud dust density has been normalized so that the total optical depth along the R axis is τVR = 5.
