One-dimensional profiles of the x and y components of the neutral-ion drift (left and right panels, respectively) at the end of the simulation. In the upper row, we show the components of the neutralion drift velocity driven by the magnetic tension force per unit volume, and in the lower row we show the components driven by the magnetic pressure force per unit volume. Note that, to zeroth order, the features observed in the lower row of Fig. 2 can be explained by the component of the neutral-ion drift velocity driven by the magnetic tension force per unit volume.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
