Heat conduction problem where energy flows from the dark matter to the baryons. Different types and components of the energy are shown as a function of time. The total energy of the system is illustrated in black. For DM the energy is shown in violet, it corresponds to the kinetic energy of the particles as other contributions are zero. In orange, we illustrate the energy of the baryons. It consists of the internal or thermal energy and the kinetic energy (bulk motion). The kinetic part is also displayed separately (dashed line). The simulation was conducted employing a forward dominated cross-section and SPH to describe the gas (baryons).
