Integration surface (pink) over which we evaluate Poynting’s theorem. It extends from r₁ = r_H up to r₂ = 25r_g < r_pml and from θ = 0 to θ₂ = 89° (just outside the equatorial disk). We decompose contributions to Poynting’s theorem into the terms shown. In the expressions, S ≡ cE × H/4π.
