Distribution in redshift of the four datasets used in this article in bins of 1000 km s−1. For easier comparison the number counts of the CF4 galaxies were reduced by a factor of 5. FAST-DR1 and WALLABY pilot phase are probing the Universe up to 20 000 km s−1, while DESI-PV-DR1 extends up to 30 000 km s−1, as do the SDSS galaxies that were incorporated in CF4.
