Combined smoothed Chandra colour image of Wd1-9. X-ray photons are colour-coded based on their energy range: soft ones (0.5–2.0 keV) appear in red, medium (2.0–4.0 keV) in green, and hard (4.0–8.0 keV) in blue. We show with a purple circle the extraction region of Wd1-9, while nearby X-ray detected sources are marked with cyan.
