Surface brightness profiles of NGC 895 extracted from the standard VIDEO reduction and the NASIM-processed image. The NASIM profile extends smoothly to larger radii and fainter surface brightness levels, demonstrating improved recovery of the galaxy’s outskirts. In contrast, the VIDEO reduction shows an artificial truncation beyond ∼10 arcsec due to over-subtraction of the sky.
