Table D.1

Comparison of disk mass estimates from Pan & Schlichting (2012) (1) and K21 (2), as well as the assumed millimeter dust masses Mmm used in each of these models.

Target Mdisk [M] (1) Mdiskmin$M_{{\rm{disk}}}^{\min }$ [M] (2) Mmm [M] (1) Mmm [M] (2) Rescaled Mdiskmin$M_{{\rm{disk}}}^{\min }$ [M] Compatible?
HD 9672 86.6 14.3 4.95 × 10−1 2.8 × 10−1 25.3 yes
HD 15115 3.72 7.0 6.17 × 10−3 8.5 × 10−2 0.51 yes, rescaled
HD 39060 104 5.5 1.83 × 10−1 7.9 × 10−2 12.7 yes

HD 131488 9.01 85.8 2.75 × 10−1 7.2 × 10−1 32.8 no
HD 131835 49.7 39.1 4.08 × 10−1 3.8 × 10−1 42.0 yes
HD 197481 0.830 1.8 1.49 × 10−2 1.4 × 10−2 1.92 no

Notes. We rescale the originally reported Mdiskmin$M_{{\rm{disk}}}^{\min }$ to use the Mmm obtained from our fiducial models. The rescaled Mdiskmin$M_{{\rm{disk}}}^{\min }$ are compatible with the Mdisk obtained from the Pan & Schlichting (2012) model for HD 9672, HD 15115, HD 39060, and HD 131835, and incompatible for HD 61005, HD 131488, and HD 197481. These discrepancies may stem from differences in model assumptions (see Sect. 5.2). For the Pan & Schlichting (2012) model, difficulties constraining the scale height aspect ratio (which sets model parameter ⟨vrel⟩) may also contribute, particularly for HD 131488 and HD 197481 which are both noted to have h measurements limited by the resolution of the observations.
