Size-mass relations from this work (black points with error bars showing the 10th to 90th percentile range) compared to others in the literature (line styles and colors shown in the legend): van der Wel et al. (2014), Lange et al. (2016, GAMA), and Chamba et al. (2024). Points show individual galaxies from McConnachie (2012), Carlsten et al. (2022, ELVES), and Li et al. (2023). The “ultra-puffy” and “ultra-diffuse” galaxies are defined in Li et al. (2023). The purple contours show the distribution of our galaxies. The purple line shows a constant stellar mass surface density of 1 M/pc2. The orange horizontal line shows the lower size limit of our sample.
