Vertical slice V1, identified in Figure 1, at t = 350 s. MSF results for the vertical magnetic field, Bz (top), and pressure, p (bottom), are shown. The dominant frequencies 3.6 and 5.2 mHz are highlighted. It is considered that these frequencies are also captured in their half-frequency counter parts, and so these are also highlighted. Finally, the HF bin, f ≥ 19.47 mHz is highlighted as an example of capturing the steep gradients in the domain, such as shocks around z = 1 Mm and the swirl structure. The bars to the side show the percentage of the domain covered by each frequency vs height, with the darkest shades representing the most coverage (> 35%), and the lightest representing zero coverage. These quantities are expanded in Figure 5. The two slices used in Figure 6 are shown by the dashed lines.
