Notes. This simulation considers an ISM density of n = 100 cm−3 and a turbulent Mach number of ℳ = 3. The dust simulations with grain–grain collisions and sputtering (upper panel) are compared to the simulations that include only sputtering (lower panel). The dust destruction at the end of our simulations (10 kyr, first line) and at similar average shock velocities (∼1 kyr, second line) to all other cases (Appendix F) are shown.
