Schematic illustration of the simulation pipeline used to create time series of LSNe Ia. Starting from HSC Wide layer observations, LRG samples are cross-matched with SDSS, and lensed SN images are injected onto the LRG cutouts at different epochs, with or without the host galaxy as needed. While the host-inclusion feature is demonstrated for completeness, host galaxies are not included in the simulations used in this work.
