The 1σ contour areas of constraints in (w₀, w_a) from measurements of the tomographic cosmic shear signal in our noisy simulation. We consider three different binning strategies and find that the 1 bin measurement does not have sufficient constraining power to generate closed contours within the prior ranges of the parameter grid. Hence, we plot the unbounded area measured within the prior ranges, and indicate that this is a lower bound of the true value by using a vertical arrow.
