Time evolution of the vertical angular momentum L_z of particles that cross various resonances. The simulation contains 7500 particles with radius R = 0.001 (corresponding to 200 m in case of Chariklo), perturbed by a mass anomaly µ = 0.003. The ring starts near the 5/7 SOR and is pushed outward by a positive torque which takes it through the 2/3, 3/5, and 1/2 SORs. The red curve is the mean value of L_z. The green curve shows the mean eccentricity of the particles.
