Number of collisions between similar-sized fragments. Each panel shows, for different combinations of total mass M and exponent β1, the number of collisions between a reference particle of radius R and the fragments with radii between R/5 and 5R. White dashed contours indicate isolines of constant collision number. These plots have been produced assuming a density of 1.5 g/cm3 for the parent body.
