eROSITA light curves of SMC X–1. Count rates were converted into X-ray luminosity using parameters from spectral modelling. The vertical dashed and dash-dotted green lines mark the orbital phases of the expected start of eclipse ingress and start of full eclipse, respectively (see Sect. 5.8).
