Comparison of derived stellar kinematic moment maps between GIST and NGIST for galaxy IC 1711. The left column shows GIST output for (from top to bottom) V, σ (with surface brightness contours overlaid), h3, and h4. The middle column shows the same, but from NGIST, and the right column shows the formal error derived by the PPXF fit of NGIST. For both the GIST and NGIST runs, cubes were binned to S/N = 100 (using the binning maps created by NGIST), and all other input parameters were kept identical.
