IE surface brightness maps (top row), ellipse fitting residuals (middle row) and unsharp masked images (bottom row) for re-binned cutouts of the three galaxies of interest. The surface brightness image is in grayscale, black indicating where the surface brightness is below 21 mag arcsec−2, and white where it exceeds 27.5 mag arcsec−2. The unsharp masked image is produced using a 40 pixel standard deviation width Gaussian kernel. The scale and orientation of the cutouts are identical to those given in Fig. 8. In each figure, North is up, east is to the left.
