Spectral index, α, from the Band model compared to the ratio of the two characteristic frequencies, ν_m and ν_c, derived from the synchrotron model. The ratio, ν_m/ν_c, indicates the cooling regime, where a value greater or less than one represents the fast or slow cooling regime, respectively. The majority of the spectra are found to be in the fast- or marginally fast cooling regime.
