Observed depolarization DP = pn, 20/pn, 6 between λ20.5 cm and λ6.2 cm in 1–kpc wide rings in the galaxy plane at 3′ resolution and predicted depolarization DP = DP20/DP6 by internal Faraday dispersion, using the observed variation in isotropic turbulent fields Bturb and thermal electron densities ⟨ne⟩. The statistical uncertainty in Bturb of ≃10% leads to an uncertainty of the predicted DP of ≃7%. The systematical uncertainty in ⟨ne⟩ of ≃20% causes a systematical uncertainty in DP of ≃14%.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
