Period-color diagrams for three OCs that contain solar-like rotators, shown in descending order of age. Blue points show the GDR3 rotation period of these stars from Distefano et al. (2023) against dereddened color. The solid orange and dashed red curves show the predicted location of the I and C sequences of slow and fast rotators from Barnes (2003). The detection of rotation periods > 5 d is increasingly disfavored by the Gaia scanning law (Distefano et al. 2023), which explains the poor match of the I−sequence in NGC 2447.
