Variations on the inference of VFTS 243 due to different observations and priors. We compare the 1D posteriors of the mass loss Δm2 and natal kick vk, for VFTS 243. We include only models which do not require a resolved orbit (see Sect. 3.1). Models S, SVR, SVT, and SV3 (solid lines) use the circular orbit prior, π(e i)=δ(e i). We additionally include the best-case observing model SV3 with the full eccentricity prior, π(e i)=U(0, 1) (black, dotted), identified as (SV3).
