Distributions of orientation angles cos θ and ϕ for the mock Tier 1 and Tier 2 samples, along with randomly selected samples with similar distributions in mass and redshift. The CHEX-MATE samples show a clear bias toward larger values of cos θ and smaller values of ϕ compared to the random samples, indicating that SZ selection favors clusters elongated along the LOS.
