Experimental demonstration of a five iterations correction with a 12 × 12 DM of differential pistons, generated with an SLM, for the ELT pupil and measured with the iMZ. A random value between -π and π is given to each of the six pistons, for a pupil variance of ≈2 rad². For iteration 0, 2, 4 and 5 (rows) pupil image and associated PSF are displayed, with (left) and without (right) flux adjustment. The Strehl ratio is estimated with the maximum ADU of the image relative to the reference PSF.
