Illustration of a lensed TDE with two images, A and B, around a galaxy acting as a lens. The lens has an Einstein radius, θE, that gives an estimate of the image separation, θsep. Due to the different geometric path lengths and the gravitational time delay (Shapiro 1964), we expect image B to appear later than image A with a time delay of Δt.
