Stacked 0.2 ∼ 2.3 keV X-ray surface brightness maps for GIZMO-SIMBA (left) and GADGET-X (right). The top panels display X-ray emission from only WHIM gas with halos more massive than 1013.5 M⊙/h removed. The middle panels show X-ray emission from all gas particles with the same halos, M200c > 1013.5 M⊙/h, removed. The bottom panels present X-ray emission also from all gas particles, but without removing halos.
