Time evolution for the initial purely poloidal magnetic field model III with five different EoSs using ζ = 10−3, a grid of Nr = 60 radial steps, Nθ = 91 polar steps inside the core, NExp = 40 external multipoles, and u = 2/3. The panels show the following variables: (a) Magnetic energy in the NS core, normalized by its initial value. (b) and (c) rms neutron and ambipolar velocity, ⟨vn⟩ and ⟨vad⟩, respectively. (d) The ratio ⟨vad⟩/⟨vn⟩. For each model, the timescales tζB and tad, and the velocities are evaluated considering the stellar parameters of Table 2. The vertical line marks the dimensionless value of ζ = tζB/tad, which is fixed to be the same for all EoSs.
