Notes: Observed ratios and extinction (A1.644 and AV) were derived toward each jet location analyzed in this study (see Fig. 2), calculated using various extinction curves (see caption of Fig. 3) and an intrinsic ratio of 1.18 taken from the atomic dataset used in the Cloudy model (see Section 3). The top row lists the observed line ratios used to infer extinction, followed by extinction values derived from each extinction law, formatted as A1.644 / AV. The bottom two rows show the mean and standard deviation of A1.644 and AV across all extinction laws for each location. The mean A1.644 value is used to normalize the extinction differences ∆Aλ, yielding βλ = Aλ/A1.644 in Section 4. The AV values are included to illustrate that differences in RV across extinction laws, specifically where both RV = 3.1 and RV = 5.5 are considered, have a smaller effect on NIR extinction (A1.644) compared to optical extinction (AV).
