Extreme values (blue stars) vs the whole population of GRBs (yellow points) for data from the BATSE catalogue (top) and GBM catalogue (bottom). From the left to the right, we show the duration, the peak flux and the fluence. The fluence and peak flux of GRB 221009A stands out more than two orders of magnitude above the bulk of the GRBs detected by Fermi, while for the duration the event is not peculiar (see, e.g., discussion in Burns et al. 2023). A red star indicates the actual location of GRB 221009A in each plot.
