Notes. Here, escale is the elementary charge scaling, dx is the grid spacing, di and de are the ion and electron skin depths, respectively, and dx/λD is the number of Debye lengths per grid cell. Runs marked with ‘*’ exhibited some numerical instability near the end of the simulation, but are included in the analysis. The run marked with ‘**’ became unstable immediately after the ejection of the initial plasmoid and is excluded from the reconnection rate analysis.
