Examples of simulated Euclid images of galaxy-galaxy strong lensing systems as observed during the Euclid wide survey. In the upper panels, we show the two HST images used to generate the simulations in the lower panels. The system on the left, identified as SDSS J0946+1006 (also known as the Jackpot lens), consists of a double Einstein ring lensed by a galaxy at z = 0.222 (at the centre of the image). The HE0435−1223 system on the right is a quadruple imaged quasi-stellar object (QSO) at z = 1.693 lensed by a galaxy at z = 0.455.
