Spatial distribution of stellar particles in three orthogonal projections (XY, XZ, YZ) for a redshift of z = 0 CG. This group (FoF group #469) consists of four galaxies with a similar stellar mass in a physically compact configuration (
). The mean projected radius is
kpc, with total stellar mass M*, T = 1011.0 M⊙ and a 1D velocity dispersion of σv,1D = 10.96 km s−1 (see Table A.1). Members are labelled according to their stellar mass, 1 being the central and more massive member of the system. 1 and 4 show strong tidal interaction, while the other two have disc-like and spheroidal morphologies (3 and 2, respectively). Darker colours indicate a higher number density of particles. Images were generated with the Py-SPH Viewer library (Benítez-Llambay 2017).
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
