Distribution of number of galaxy mergers within CGs, split by identification epoch. While only 2/15 (∼14%) of CGsz = 0.06 experience one merger, the CGsz = 0.23 sample is the only in which most systems have experienced at least one merger. Coalescence of CGs that had Δt < 3 Gyr to evolve is somewhat infrequent.
