Notes. The table compares theoretical (Th) growth rates, frequencies, and resonant velocities vres = ω/k and observed simulation growth rates (Sim) for κ-distributed electrons with Te/Tc = 10 and proton beams with Vd/vth, c = 5, nb/nc = 0.05, and Tb/Tc = 1.0. Calculations were performed at a wavenumber of kλDc = 0.126.
