Surface brightness map at a wavelength of 10 mm with an enlarged image section around the vortex. The polarization arises from thermal emission and dichroic absorption of aligned 1 mm-sized dust grains (top) and from self-scattered radiation (bottom) only. The disk is inclined by 45∘. See Sect. 3.4 for details.
