Surface brightness map of the total emitted thermal radiation at a wavelength of 3 mm overlaid with corresponding polarization vectors. The polarization arises from thermal emission and dichroic absorption of aligned 1 mm-sized dust grains (top) and from self-scattered radiation (bottom) only. The disk is inclined by 45∘.
