Radial velocity of the global MTI eigenmode with m = 92 and n = 1 in the simulation seeded with a single mode. Radial eigenfunctions, δv_r,92(r), are shown at two different times and normalised by their maximum values. Despite growing by a factor ∼10⁷, the eigenmode still lies almost perfectly on top of the initial curve, and thus matches very precisely the theoretical eigenfunction.
