Table 1

Summary of the main parameters used to run AVISM.

Parameter Symbol Value (default) Description
Grid
Minimum level min 0 – Coarse level for finding voids (only matters for grid-like inputs).
Maximum level max 0 – Maximum level for finding voids.
Coarse (minimum level) grid size Nx, Ny, Nz – Number of cells in each direction for the grid corresponding to the coarse level.
Comoving box side L0 – Comoving box side in cMpc where the particles or data are placed.

Particle interpolation

Number of neighbours Nngh 32 – Number of neighbours that contribute to each cell in the density and velocity interpolation.

Void thresholds

Density contrast for void centres δ1 −0.6 – Density contrast threshold applied to define cells that can grow and become voids.
Density contrast for edges δ2 10 – Density contrast threshold to stop cube growing once the edge is found.
Density gradient |∇δ|th 0.25 cMpc−1 – Density gradient threshold to stop cubes from growing once the gradient is too steep and close to the edges.
Velocity divergence threshold ∇⋅ vth 0 cMpc−1 c – Velocity divergence threshold to stop cubes from growing into non-expanding regions.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
