Modeled minor elemental mantle compositions for the different initial bulk compositions as a function of fO₂. Compositions are obtained from a core-mantle differentiation model with experimentally determined metal-silicate partition coefficients (Boujibar et al. 2014; Steenstra et al. 2016; Chi et al. 2014; Fischer et al. 2015; Steenstra et al. 2020a). The estimated SCSS is plotted for comparison Namur et al. (2016). The FeO evolution path shown for CBa represents the trend for other compositions.
